I think you will have to incorporate UD into your basic blue prints as you start developing ideas for your cabin. I would suggest putting together a notebook or filefolder with sections for each room; kitchen, bathroom, living area, etc. Once you have numerous ideas of what you want, contact a draftsman and have your ideas implemented into your plans. We started planning a year before we contacted a draftsman. I had drawn some "rough" sketches of what we wanted took them to the draftsman and then it took three months for reviews and changes before we submitted the plans for a building permit.
Two and a half years later, August 3rd, we got our final inspection and began moving in.
