Looking for a Ranch style floor plan...

Greeting Friends!

My husband and I are in search of a 1 story 2BR 1bath Ranch Style floor plan about 1500-1800 sq ft. to build as a vacation home.

All the plans I've found so far are 2 story...really to big for us. We don't want anything huge because we have a big home already. Do you all have any idea where i can find such a plan?

I left a comment to what you sent me, but leaving it here also just in case.
Sorry I didn't get back sooner. It didn't e-mail me that you had left a comment. It might not do it here. Anyways, if you will e-mail me at danthelogman@gmail.com I will try to get together a few thumbnails of plans I have and see if any would come close to what you need and want. I have one that is approx 1600 sq. ft. that has split bedrooms and another that is smaller that has been my top seller. It has 2 br on one end. Best regards, Dan

Hi LaShaun,

I just now am finding my way around this site. The picture you gave me was a 2 story, but being on your page I see you want a single story......no loft correct?
Not a problem. I have a few of those also.
I just got my web-site up for the restoration business. Still have a few kinks to get out.
I too am a transplant. I grew up around Akron, Oh. Came here to take care of my grandmother and rooted here. Went back to Ohio to get kids around grandparents there and wound up here again. I have been in the log business 7 years and can do whatever you need. If you allow me to build your home, you will see me on the job-site building unlike most builders. Of course I will have a crew with me also. I was a Structural Designer by trade and was doing this as a hobby, and it took off has not slowed down for me since.

Let me know how I can help.

E-mail me at danthelogman@gmail.com and let me know what kind of foundation, log style, species, etc. and I will do whatever it takes to help you out.

Best regards,

Dan

Good afternoon LaShaun,
You're quite welcome. Our ONLY log is a 6"x12" Western Hemlock, and the ONLY way that we build is with a 4" chink joint and dovetail corners. After that, it's all up to you what the plan will look like. Please let me know if there is anything else I can help you with.

Sounds like you have a great plan!

Hill Country, huh? You mean, outside of Austin? I don't have any leads or communities that I can think of off the top of my head. I bet there are a ton of real-estate pros who would be willing to help. We recently ran a story about buying land, and the best advice I heard was to bid REALLY low...many landowners will bite b/c the market is so lousy. Just a thought.

You can find some land deals on our web site, too...

Please keep us posted!
