CONTRACTOR'S LICENSE

WE ARE GETTING READY TO BUILD OUR LOG HOME IN TENNESSEE AND I AM CURIOUS ABOUT A CONTRACTOR'S LICENSE. WOULD IT BE WORTH MY TIME TO OBTAIN A LICENSE AND IF SO, HOW DO I GO ABOUT GETTING IT. NEED ADVICE ABOUT CONCRETE

Good morning neighbors. I need a little advice concerning a solid concrete wall vs. using piers. We initially were going to pour a solid concrete wall for the 4 exterior walls to rest on in our new log home. We are thinking that we can use piers to replace the solid concrete walls. This would save us money is the short run but we want to make sure that we are not messing up. We are thinking of putting piers every 8 feet. If anyone can offer advice we would definitely appreciate it.

Half Sawn Log Stairs

My wife and I moved to Tn. 14 months ago to build our dream home. We are hoping to get started within the next 2 months. We opted not to purchase a kit home. Rather we will purchase the "D" style logs from a supplier in Tn. and get the windows, doors, etc. locally. This will be a 2 story home.
