Log Homes Direct ???? Log Homes 4 Less ??

Has anyone out there ever heard of a company called Log Homes Direct LLC or Log Homes for Less ? They are located in Rocky Mt. , North Carolina and supposedly offer supplies and materials via the internet. They have a kit for sale on Ebay. I've looked at dozens of different kit manufacturers but just recently stumbled upon this company. Does ANYONE out there know anything about them ?

I can Make one recommendation to anyone thinking of using log homes direct, or log home concepts. DO NOT. The owner, and sole employee, is a crook. All I can say is google his name. Google his company. The proof is in the pudding. Better yet, ask to see the cabins his company has built. Not the ones he displays on the webpage...go and see them.

Hi I work with Log Homes Direct, I am Stacey. We offer log materials direct to the public for really fair prices. About the ebay add we listed, if boxer lady had read the materials list in detail she would have seen that the package included a structural beamed roof system, as well as the beamed second floor and 1x8 t&g on all interior walls, I can say without a shadow of a doubt that Amerlinks price for that package would have never been close to $116,000. We prefer to sell materials to home owners that are trying to build a quality home, but cut out all the additional cost that come with the conventional materials that other companies generally place in their packages. We will package materials if customers request this, but it not our preference. We do offer construction services as well, and can do dry ins as well as turn keys in NC. If anyone has questions about what we do and the company feel free to contact me, or give us a call 1-866-387-9637. We are here trying to show people how than can build a quality log home for less money and not have to lose quality in the process, we work hard for our clients and go above and beyond to ensure they are happy with their products.

I know a bit about "WHO" Log Homes Direct is. The man's name is Stacy, and is a former AmerLink Log Homes Employee. He is a broker for a log mill of some sort (told you I know only a bit).
No offense to the guy, but I say his listing of the former AmerLink "Carrington" for $116k, is waaay more than what AmerLink was selling it for. Which was $90k-standard. (Yes - I'm a former AmerLink employee, too.)
So, he takes a picture at the AmerLink sales center, and bills it as his package & sells it on ebay. Nothing illegal and not the first time it's been done. AND The old Carrington model is gorgeous. So, no harm in that.
BTW - AmerLink is no longer in business. Hence why this is being done.
So, back to Log Homes direct...The last bit I know is that Stacy is selling a few packages here and there, but doesn't build them.
The rest is your call, and gain your own opinion from there.
If you need more information, or further help, email me at -BoxerLady
