When you make your plans, be sure to include "Universal design" and try to make your doorways "wheelchair-friendly" We have a ramp from our garage to the rear entry, in the event we may someday need it. My only other thought is get more lighting than you think you might need. We love our home! Pat
We are going to be building a retirement home in 3 years, and my husband is set on a loft, and I want a ranch style house. I mean, who's going to be wanting to climb up the stairs? Plus, a loft breaks up the great room. What do you think?
