Shared Enjoyment

Dedicated to a Dream

Too many people who want a log home give up on their dream once they find out what one costs. Quality of the building material, uniqueness of the design, expertise of construction — these aspects that distinguish log homes from ordinary houses might make buying one a challenge. It’s one that can be overcome, however.

future log cabin owner???

Hello, All:  My husband and I will be retiring to the Asheville,NC area in 2020. Granted,we have a few years yet, but we are still in the planning/dreaming stage.  I have wanted to live  in a log cabin for as long as I can remember.  However,the more research I do,the more i discover potential maintenance issues that come with log cabin ownership.  Is anyone familiar with the vinyl wood siding used for some cabins?  What about any log home communities that provide maintenance programs?  What…
