Do I have your attention? (Of course, I do.)
As I’ve mentioned before, we at Country’s Best Cabins love to connect with readers; every story has some point of interest or inspiration that shows why the cabin lifestyle is something to aspire to. For our October issue, we’re kicking that engagement up a notch by allowing readers to help us select some key elements of our magazine. Here’s how you can share your opinion with us, with some opportunities to be featured in the magazine as well:
Dream Design — I guess it would only be fair to lead off with the subject line of this blog. For this feature, we are offering those still in the planning process a chance to present their design criteria to a cabin producer, who will then draft a floor plan up to 2,500 square feet just for you based on what you're looking for.
The only requirements are that you already own your land and be available for an interview. (We'll also need a photograph of you to run alongside the article.) Submit entries by May 30 to email@example.com (subject line: Dream Design) by telling us what you love most about the cabin experience and why you want one.
Cabin Life — We try to capture a different aspect of cabin enjoyment each issue in our Cabin Life department, from historical projects to cabin communities to rental options. We’re letting you take the wheel this issue by suggesting topics of interest that perhaps we haven’t yet covered. Send us your ideas at firstname.lastname@example.org (subject line: Cabin Life).
Cabin Caper — Cabins are more than just four walls with a roof; they’re memory makers. And, no matter where yours may be located, everyone has at least one story about a crazy encounter with wildlife, an infamous family incident or a special tradition passed down through generations at the heart of his or her cabin experience. Share yours with us at email@example.com (subject line: Cabin Caper) as part of a new regular department we’ll be introducing this issue.
We’ll also be polling readers on cover preferences, so stay tuned. And, as always, we love to see your cabins, and how you and your family enjoy them as part of our regular Reader Logbook department. For this issue, we’ll be featuring the winner of our National Log Cabin Month photo contest. There’s still time to enter: loghome.com/national-log-cabin-month.
Look forward to hearing from you.
