Hi Mr. Neighborhood Host!
Am I allowed to make a suggestion from the peanut gallery?
I was thinking it would be pretty cool to know the demographics of our members via informal survey, such as the age, how many are actually in a home, who is retired, what states are the most popular, do they own pets, etc.
What do you think?
Thanks for the welcome to the neighborhood and the compliment on the house. I don't imagine many folks get to build one of these not once but twice in a lifetime. The first home I built was a Timber Log Homes kit. The one in my current photos is a Kuhns Bros. kit however, I greatly modified the floor plan. If only someone would fall in love with it enough to call it their own as I did. My first log home was sold to a couple that adored the house and took care of it just like I had done. Hopefully that will be the case with this home.
Thank you for your comment. We purchased home already built but slightly unfinished inside. The living areas are now complete but still lots to do in the garage, wash room area and the outside landscape most of which will have to wait until we move in full time.
A terrific land buying check list. It should be required reading in your mags on a regular basis. I have my piece of paradise but many others are still looking for guidance. Keep feeding us the really important stuff.
Thank you so much. Our home was a labor of love. It was an architectural design for our community, but I completely redesigned it.We put our heart soul and pretty much everything else into it. Love log home neighborhood. Love your pictures and videos. Keep us all current.
Thank you for the invitation. I've just spent the better part of two hours looking around and I love what you are creating here. This has a real neighborhood feel and once the word gets out, I'll bet this becomes THE meeting place for log home enthusiasts. Kudos!
